When you’re planning a new home, addition, or renovation, it’s easy to get excited about floor plans, finishes, and design ideas. But before we dive into sketches and concepts, the very first step is making sure we’re the right fit to work together.
That’s where the discovery meeting comes in.

This isn’t a design session—it’s a chance for us to learn about you, and for you to learn about us. It’s how we make sure your goals, budget, and timeline are aligned with what we do best. To help you prepare, here’s what you should have ready:
1. Your Goals
What do you want to achieve with your home or property? Are you planning an addition, a full renovation, a custom build, or an investment project? The clearer you are about your “big picture,” the more productive our conversation will be.
2. Your Commitment Level
Be honest with yourself: is this something you’re ready to move forward on now, or is it still in the “someday” category? Understanding your commitment helps us determine the right next steps.
3. Decision-Makers
Who’s involved in the process? If it’s you and a partner, are you both aligned on your goals and expectations? Having everyone at the table ensures there are no surprises later.
4. Budget Range
You don’t need exact numbers at this stage, but having a ballpark range is important. It allows us to talk about what’s realistic and whether your vision can be achieved within the investment you’re comfortable making.
5. Timeline
When do you want to start construction? When do you hope to move in or complete the project? Sharing your timing expectations helps us highlight what’s possible—and what may need adjusting.
6. Priorities & Challenges
What matters most to you: speed, quality, long-term value, or something else? And what challenges have you already faced—permits, zoning, or just not knowing where to start? Knowing these upfront helps us guide you more effectively.
Why This Matters
The discovery meeting is about clarity and alignment. By the end, both you and our team should feel confident about whether it makes sense to move forward together.
Once we know we’re on the same page—that’s when the real fun begins: designing your space and bringing your vision to life.
