Founded in early 2019, Jordan Station Design Co. is Niagara's leading, award-winning Architectural Design firm. Located in the heart of the Niagara Region, our focus is on high-end residential development. We are dedicated to producing high quality architectural design combined with sustainable and energy-efficient construction methods. Our designers are seasoned in checking off all of your must-haves and integrating them into a seamless and balanced design, within your budget.

MEET OUR TEAM
Our team consists of two individuals that hold a limited license with the Ontario Association of Architects as a "Licensed Technologist OAA", one who is working towards their license through the OAAAS, four Architectural Technologists, and one B.Arch graduate.
Are we Architects or a BCIN designer? Neither, we are somewhere in the middle! We hold a certificate of practice with the OAA and have been granted a license by the OAA to practice architecture with very specific Terms, Conditions, and Limitations (TCL). We are bound by the same standards of practice and rules of conduct as an Architect; the Architects Act and Regulation 27 apply equally to us as a Licensed Technologist OAA.

Jordan Heckman Dipl. T., Licensed Technologist OAA
Founder
If you asked Jordan's parents, they would tell you that Jordan's love of architecture and design is nothing new to him. Ever since his childhood, he has loved to build, create and design. Jordan has an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology from Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario and holds a limited license with the Ontario Association of Architects as a "Licensed Technologist OAA'. His 10+ years of experience have offered him a wide variety of design knowledge and expertise from his residential and commercial work from Ottawa to the Niagara region and everywhere in between. Jordan's passion lies with being involved in all aspects of residential projects from initial consultation to final reveal. Jordan's passion lies with his ability to adapt to all styles of design. He is always in pursuit of creating functional, efficient and beautiful architecture for his clients. His relationships with clients and their families, contractors, and professionals alike are what drive him to thrive.
Lee Curtis Dipl.T., Lic. Tech. OAA
Design Manager
Lee has a diverse background in the architectural field over the past 16 years. Previous experience in a wide range of projects small and large. His passion for the built environment is evident in everything he touches. He has experience in the private and public sectors as well as technical teaching experience. Lee has an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology from Mohawk College and holds a limited license with the Ontario Association of Architects as a "Licensed Technologist OAA'. Lee believes that truly great design is a process, not a product. He also believes that aesthetic should not be prescribed, that it should be explored with function, experience, and context. He remains open-minded and sympathetic to your requests and always weighs options from multiple perspectives. There is no single solution for how people live. You only have something special when everyone believes in it, so let’s make something special together.
Kristen McNutt Dipl. T.
Intermediate Architectural Technologist
Kristen McNutt is a graduate of the Architectural Technology program at Mohawk College, where she graduated in 2019 with honours. Through co-op program experience she worked in many fields, but found a passion for residential design and construction. Since graduation, she has also obtained her BCIN with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. Kristen has a strong interest in architecture and design, finding that it is the perfect match of creativity and technicality. She is from Owen Sound, Ontario, but discovered an appreciation for Niagara and the surrounding areas during her time at college. Kristen is passionate about working alongside clients to achieve their vision and turn it into a reality.
Gabriel Alvarez Colman Dipl. T., BCIN
Intermediate Architectural Technologist
Gabriel A. Alvarez Colman is an Architectural Technologist honors graduate from Mohawk College. He has 5+ years of work experience mainly in residential projects. He has obtained a multitude of BCINs with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. He enjoys a challenge and will always go the extra mile for your projects needs. Whether its architectural, structural, or systems components, Gabriel will produce quality and swift results. He is also working towards becoming a member with the OAAAS in order to obtain the designation as a "Licensed Technologist OAA." Gabriel delights in building relationships and designing beautiful Architecture.
Jonathan Boccia Dipl. T., Technologist OAAAS
Intermediate Architectural Technologist
Jonathan is an honours graduate of Mohawk College's Architectural Technology program and is a member of the Ontario Association for Applied Architectural Sciences (OAAAS) program to become a Licensed Technologist OAA. He has been involved in the construction process since high school, on projects with varying size and application. He applies his years of exposure to the construction field to assist in solving situational problems that can occur during the design process.
Nicole Wiens Dipl. T.,
Junior Architectural Technologist
Nicole Wiens is a recent Architectural Technologist graduate from Mohawk College, with Honors. Through her education at Mohawk College, Nicole excelled in 3D modelling and design and she also brings with her a vast experience with Lumion and the ability to produce realistic 3D renderings.
Karen Paola Hernandez Dipl. T.,
Junior Architectural Technologist
Karen Paola Hernandez is a recent Bachelor of Interior Design Graduate of Sheridan College as well as an Architectural Technologist graduate from Mohawk College. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge having worked for both Mattamy Homes as a design consultant as well as K Paul Architect as a Junior Architectural Technologist.

Sabrina Mable is a recent Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) Graduate of the University of Toronto Daniels School of Architecture and has joined us as a Junior Draftsperson.

Administrative/Office Coordinator
Jen is a highly experienced administrator that has a passion for architectural design and construction and has joined us as our Administrative/Office Coordinator. Jen is responsible for all the background office work that helps the team here at Jordan Station Design Co run!
